To get started, Laravel has released a new major version of their Installer tool. Now the Installer tool is what allows you to do laravel new project. So let's go ahead and update. Now if you visit the documentation, we're going to install it globally through Composer. However, have a look. We can go into our Composer directory, and if I list the files, let's open up composer.json. Now I believe the Installer is actually up to version 4 now. Let's have a look on Packagist. Yeah, v4. All right.

Now while that's doing its thing, you'll see Taylor note that this version includes support for quickly starting Jetstream projects. And if you're not familiar with Jetstream, why would you be?
