Building Post Page Layout0:00
Alright, let's see if we can knock out the Post page. We should be able to reuse a lot of these assets. So here's our index page, we're just going to copy it all, because again, you'd reach for layout files once you learn in the Laravel from scratch series. But this is what we have, so indent all of that. And let's see, here is your navigation area. This header section I think can leave. Let's have a look. Let's do view in browser here. So honestly, we could even get away with a simple flexbox. But if we instead think of a 12 column grid, all right, now you have 12 columns, and you could say this first one, just to make it easy to see, background-color of red, we could say col-span, well, again, to bring back what we had earlier, col-span 6. This kind of reproduces what we had before, right? But now we can see 1, 2, 3, 4. Maybe this should only take up 4, and this could take up the remaining space, as you
Polishing Header Styling9:24
So I think we had one called techniques, yes. Come back, refresh, yeah, we're getting there. This should be flex though, justify-between. And then maybe some margin-bottom below it, maybe 6, yeah. And then what do we have here? font-size is 18, that's surprising, 18. font-size normal. Let's see, is this 18 as well? Oh, it is, okay, we need to tweak that, text-large there, and this would be text-large as well.
Series Wrap-Up and Next Steps14:20
take us here. Okay, so thanks so much for coming along. If you'd like to stick around, I'm now going to take everything we wrote in this mini-series and use it as the source template in HTML and CSS for the blog that we build in the Laravel From Scratch series.
